Asian Mea imports chilled chickens from Qingyuan, Guangdong for retail selling in major supermarkets in Hong Kong.
Years ago, when Mr. Chu applied for loans to expand the business, he needed to devote additional time and effort to compile the financial statements required by banks. The loan approval process ended up taking almost half a year to complete.
In 2021, Mr. Chu was ready to further expand Asian Mea. The bank recommended CDI and he decided to give it a try. Through CDI, the bank obtained Asian Mea’s consent and retrieved its sales and procurement data from a B2B e-commerce platform directly. As a result, the bank had a better grasp of Asian Mea’s operating conditions based on these alternative data, facilitating banks to conduct a more accurate and timely credit assessment. In the end, Mr. Chu secured a substantial loan at a competitive interest rate, and was very pleased.
