RVC Enterprises Limited is the master franchisee of Mrs. Fields Cookies Hong Kong. Mrs. Fields is a pastry store that manufactures and sells American-style cookies, muffins and brownies in its 12 branches in Hong Kong. Recently, the company has expanded its business to conduct sales via online platforms in hopes of serving not just retail, but also, corporate clients.
Due to the unstable logistics conditions and rising procurement cost in recent years, RVC Enterprises Limited needs funds to establish a long-term raw material procurement agreement with its overseas supplier to fix cost. However, traditional loan application was complicated and time-consuming, which made the company anxious.
After learning about CDI, the company understood that they could make use of digital transaction data as a proof to obtain bank loan.

With the company’s consent, Octopus can directly send Mrs. Fields’s digital payment data to banks as part of the credit approval considerations. Eventually, the loan was approved within one week. Good interest rates were also offered to RVC Enterprises Limited and it was finally able to secure a long-term contract with its supplier.
